
Started racing in British FF1600, winning the 1980 Unipart Scholarship.
Successful in FF1600 1981-1983 before moving to Sports 2000 in 1984 and winning the (B class) Championship.
In 1985 Bill graduated to the Marlboro British F3 championship and then from 1986-88 Raced Sports 2000 & Thundersports with some success.
Bill retired from racing in 1989 to concentrate on the day job as managing director of Thruxton Motorsports Centre!
By 2008 the boredom of driving a desk all the time stirred up the passion again and he returned to racing in Classic F3, winning 5 races and finishing 2nd in championship.
Now bitten by the racing bug for the second time, Bill is looking forward to his first season in Historic Formula One.
