Abba is a big hit at the ‘Ring!
As the HFO bandwagon rolled into the Nurburgring, we were all amazed at the changes since our last visit. The whole spectator side of the main straight has been re-developed with a new grandstand, exhibition centre, boutique shops and a roller coaster that runs alongside the straight!
A new hotel and restaurant complex is right across the road so it would seem that the Nurburgring is intent on retaining the German Grand Prix following the well publicised financial difficulties at Hockenheim.
All around the new complex were numerous posters promoting an Abba tribute concert at the ‘Ring in January. Little did we know that our very own Abba would be an even bigger hit during the race weekend!
