Our 2009 Champion and Class winners pick up their trophies in Monaco ceremony.
Shortly before Christmas, our 2009 champion and class winners attended the prestigious FIA Awards Ceremony in Monaco to officially receive their trophies.
Winners of the all the contemporary FIA Championships receive their awards at this ceremony and HFO was delighted that, as the premier historic championship, our winners were also invited to receive their trophies alongside other champions such as Jenson Button, Sebastien Loeb and F1 Constructors Brawn.
Bobby Verdon-Roe picked up his award as 2009 FIA Historic Formula One Champion and took the opportunity to chat with another young chap who apparently won some other championship.
Rumour has it that Bobby also won the competition for best Dinner Jacket (Tuxedo for our US friends). Apparently burgundy velour beats plain black cotton any day!
Our class winners also picked up their awards. Personally I think the person who suggested they reminded him of the members of an aging Boy Band was being very unkind.
These four guys have more talent than most Boy Bands I have heard!
