HFO is non-profit making, is owned by the drivers and run on their behalf. The drivers elect a committee from their own ranks and a former competitor fulfils the role of CEO, making the necessary day-to-day operational decisions.
Essentially, the drivers elect the committee. The committee is then empowered to make strategic decisions such as which circuits to race at, how the budget is allocated and appointing individual committee members for specific functions.

The committee then empowers the CEO to execute the plan for the season and monitors our progress.
HFO CEO Mike WhatleyCompetitors are informed about the activities of the committee and are consulted regularly on important issues.
We have a stable, FIA ratifed, set of rules covering the technical and sporting aspects of the championship and these are policed by an FIA approved Technical Delegate.
As an FIA Championship, our events are monitored by FIA appointed stewards and the on-track action takes place under the eagle-eye of our own, dedicated, FIA Race Director.
Off-track event organisation is handled by a combination of our CEO and Stuart McCrudden Associates Ltd.
