Myths about HFO

Let’s dispel a few myths:

  1. You do not have to be an Italian Count, a British Jam Baron or a US Oil Tycoon to race with HFO.
  2. You do not need a budget the size of the US bank bailout to race with HFO (although it helps!)
  3. You certainly do not have to know the right people to race with HFO. (They let me race after all! – Ed.)

We have also heard it said that HFO is too intense, too serious and too competitive. We respectfully and with as little bias as possible, disagree.

Do these people look too serious to you?

Make no mistake, we are serious about our racing. We have a set of well defined regulations which we police effectively. We try to re-create Grand Prix as they used to be and that requires some discipline and professionalism. That includes preparing the cars and running our events to high standards.

Oh! and we are as serious as any other racing series once the red lights go out! You don’t see many drivers waving and having a pleasant chat as they pass each other!

However, we have competitors with a wide range of abilities, not just very quick ones, so there is always someone of similar ability to dice with.

We have the best FIA accredited officials to make sure any hotheads cool off or buzz off!

We are no more (or less) intense, serious or competitive than any other race series.

Most importantly, we are very serious about enjoying our racing and making the whole weekend fun.
